Jesus the Lamb of God

Jesus had to give of His own body and blood to first make redemption for Himself. This was necessary to fulfil the Law because He was the first born 'Lamb' without blemish (He never sinned). Jesus, after His resurrection, became our High Priest and mediator sitting on the Right Hand of God making intercession on our behalf.

John 1:29 "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"

Jesus, after His resurrection, became our High Priest and mediator sitting on the Right Hand of God making intercession on our behalf.

Please note below, two versions of the Bible have included words not in the original Greek. I have highlighted these superfluous words (the translator being influenced by the trinity).

Hebrews 9:

King James Version (KJV) 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

New King James Version (NKJV) 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

New International Version (NIV) 12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.

Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) 12 He entered the holy of holies once for all, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.

New Living Translation (NLT) 12 With his own blood, not the blood of goats and calves, he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever.

Hebrews 7: 20 And inasmuch as He was not made priest without an oath 21 (for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him:" The LORD has sworn And will not relent, You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek"),

The Truth is that Jesus, the Lamb of God, obtained redemption for Himself by His sacrifice. Because of His absolute obedience to His Fathers Will and His sinless life, Jesus was raised from the dead and now sits at the 'Right hand of God' as High Priest and Mediator. God will send Jesus back to the earth to rule as King from Jerusalem. Hebrews 7: 20 And inasmuch as He was not made priest without an oath 21 (for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him:" The LORD has sworn And will not relent, You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek"), 22 by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant. 23 Also there were many priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing. 24 But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. 26 For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. 28 For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.
